Everyone anticipates Spring, as it seems we wait for it forever. I CAN tell you its close. I have seen the geese and a Robin, so I can feel it. Spring is in many ways a rebirth, a new season, a thaw from the deep cold, and along with that the anticipation of new life and new beginnings. Everyone wants to shed their protective coverings, and allow the warm sun to caress our face, and rekindle our connection to Mother Nature.
In design it is much like that too. We look to new colour palettes, lighter decorating schemes, plants, flowers and new scents and visuals.
Our dark rich palettes switch to a softer brighter outlook, and that rekindles our need to freshen up and make changes to our environments.
The colour of the year suggests a soft pink is all the rage for2024, called 1023 Peach Fuzz! It may not be for everyone, but for many it is as fresh as well…SPRING!
For those who can’t get their head around Peach , Benjamin Moore’s pick is Blue Nova cc860, so there is more than one option. We live in a time where personal preference is king, and no one will ever dictate what you must do. Thank Heavens! I have had the same colour for a long time, and in 3different properties over time. I am a creature of habit for my personal taste. It is my job to think outside the box for others though, and I cherish the chance to do that every day! I LOVE that everyone is on a journey to create a personal space, built to suit just them with THEIR taste. Many are scared of that prospect, but we are here to assist you to reach your goal. It can be daunting because not everyone feels they can sift through the myriad of possibilities and arrive in a place they can be comfortable living in. We are here for you… The goal is to make your heart sing when you are surrounded by your favourite things in a space that reflects YOU!
This Spring we are adding another bay here at Manchester Square to our square footage doubling our space, allowing us to show you so much more to entice you, and create your ultimate environment.
Along with all the extra retail, we are opening a full design center, with fabrics, wallpaper and carpets, including skilled designers to help you with your projects. Interior designers are always welcome as well to use the space as a resource center for their own projects as well. We will be able to create custom bedding, throws and pillows along with drapery and blinds, all sourced and made locally.
This is very exciting for us! Like a butterfly, we have been in a design cocoon over the winter growing our idea, and soon that cocoon will become a butterfly, full of promise with endless possibilities!

We have sourced so many exclusive and wonderful things, including sumptuous upholstery, trendy dining furniture, and lighting, like no others in Edmonton. We are well stocked in accessories and home décor for every taste, along with a new and expanded selection of amazing antiques. On that topic ,it warms my heart to know so many LOVE and appreciate antiques today, as it certainly took a back seat for a few years. Suddenly many are looking for the unique, well-made pieces to help to arrive to the individuality many are clambering for. That touch of nostalgia, stirs memories of a gentler time, or family remembrances.
These things, be it restored upholstery or furniture pieces, or antique accessories have all been revived to live a new life, and we strive to bring you unique items which have a new lease on life ,to go another 100 years or more! They blend in seamlessly with contemporary pieces, and many are surprised to hear they are even antique , in many cases.
